Links to Early learning Guidelines. Program Standards, and Grade Level Expectations Birth Through Four

  • Early Learning Guidelines describes what children typically do and strategies parents and teachers can use to support development in children from birth through three.
  • Program Standards outline policy and program indicators that support relationship-based care.
  • Grade level Expectations are defined by the Louisiana Department of Education for children PreK through 12th grade. A grade-level expectation (GLE) is a statement that defines what all student should know and be able to do at the end of a given grade level. GLEs add further definition to the content standards and benchmarks.
